Avantea, always committed to promoting research and innovation, announces the co-financing of a new scholarship for the 40th cycle of the PhD program in Veterinary Sciences and Food Safety at the University of Padua. This project represents another step forward in Avantea’s commitment to supporting advanced research in assisted reproduction and promoting sustainable and responsible practices.
The project will focus on an innovative and multidisciplinary topic: “A tool for the ethical assessment of assisted reproduction techniques in equids, cattle, and pigs: biodiversity, animal welfare, and social implications.” The goal is to develop a practical tool to evaluate the ethical impact of reproductive technologies, integrating reflections on biodiversity, animal welfare, and social implications.
The academic supervision of the project is entrusted to Prof. Barbara De Mori, director of the Laboratory of Veterinary Ethics, Conservation, and Animal Welfare at the University of Padua. Recognized for her expertise in bioethics and conservation, Prof. De Mori will guide the project with a rigorous and multidisciplinary approach.
A Project with Global Impact
The doctoral student will have the opportunity to conduct part of their research at Avantea’s laboratories, collaborating with experts to develop and validate innovative tools for ethical assessment and animal welfare. In addition, an international research period is planned to ensure high-level global training, in line with the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
“This project demonstrates Avantea’s commitment to integrating ethics, sustainability, and cutting-edge scientific research. We are excited to collaborate with Prof. De Mori to address such relevant challenges for our field,” stated Prof. Cesare Galli, co-founder of Avantea and an internationally recognized figure in animal assisted reproduction.
Avantea’s Commitment to Research and Innovation
“Supporting projects like this is essential to promote scientific research oriented toward sustainability and ethical progress. Avantea continues to invest in training highly qualified professionals capable of addressing future challenges with competence and awareness,” added Silvio Audisio, CEO of Avantea.
Looking to the Future with Confidence
With this initiative, Avantea renews its role as a leader in the field of assisted reproduction, contributing not only to the development of new scientific solutions that respect animal welfare but also to the creation of a more ethical and sustainable ecosystem. Projects like this are at the heart of the company’s mission: to put science at the service of progress, with a view toward a more responsible future.
