From April 11 to 13, the prestigious Riviera Resort in San Giovanni in Marignano will host the first leg of the FISE/MASAF Avantea Young Horse Circuit, officially launching the 2025 edition of one of the most important initiatives for the future of Italian and international show jumping.
Avantea is proud to be the title sponsor of this circuit, supporting the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) and the Italian Ministry of Agriculture (MASAF) in a strategic project that promotes the value of young sport horses.
The circuit, made up of four qualifying events and a final, aims to highlight the most promising 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-year-old horses active in Italy. For the 2025 edition, a key new feature is the introduction of a structured technical support process to guide horses and riders in their development toward top-level sport.
To ensure consistency and quality, technical supervision has been entrusted to Giovanni Lucchetti, who will attend each leg of the circuit and the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken (September 18–21), offering support and insight to all competing combinations.
In addition to the well-established MASAF ‘Elite’ categories, the circuit includes the ‘High Level FISE/MASAF’ classes, open to both Italian and foreign horses, to encourage international competition and raise the overall standard of participation.
The first two legs – San Giovanni in Marignano (April 11–13) and Scuderia Borgo La Caccia (May 2–4) – are key stages, as they will qualify the top 32 six- and seven-year-old horses (8 per age group and nationality, per event) for the prestigious sixth edition of the Master Talent Young Horses at Piazza di Siena (May 21–25). An additional 28 Italian horses will also be selected by MASAF via a dedicated computer ranking list.
The 2025 calendar continues with:
- Tortona (June 13–15)
- July leg (July 4–6, venue TBC)
- Final (August 28–31, venue TBC), which will also serve as the final selection for Italy’s team at the Lanaken World Championships
As title sponsor, Avantea reaffirms its commitment to supporting those who invest in the future of the sport—through responsible breeding, talent development, and scientific innovation. With expertise and vision, we continue to back excellence from the very first jump.
